The Diamondback Hopper, with its patented one-dimensional convergence dynamics, breaks arches and ratholes, produces true first-in / first-out flow, eliminates flooding, flushing and erratic flow, and increases process flow rates — all without moving parts.

Standard Diamondback Hoppers

The Arch-breaking Diamondback Hopper® prevents arching and ratholing with its innovative one-dimensional convergence.

 

In many cases, the Diamondback eliminates the need for noisy vibrators, air cannons and rotary valves and can use inexpensive constant-pitch rather than expensive mass-flow screw feeders. 

 

Because it provides uniform mass-flow with no moving parts, the Diamondback Hopper virtually eliminates costly maintenance.  It effectively increases production rates while minimizing downtime.  All these features make the Diamondback Hopper an economical solution to solids flow problems.

Standard pre-engineered Arch-breaking Diamondback Hoppers can be welded or bolted together to create a single unit that will retrofit most existing equipment within available headroom.  For most applications, a modular Standard Diamondback Hopper or hopper combination is all that’s required.  For unique circumstances, however, or when the material flow properties warrant it, we can design custom Diamondback Hopper configurations and auxiliary equipment to maximize process performance. 

 

We warrant all Diamondback Hoppers for a period of nine months or longer if we test a material’s flow properties.  A conceptual sketch of the applicable Diamondback Hopper as it fits within an existing system is included as part of each test report.
